Our prestigious Madrasah was set up in the year 1751 during the region of Alivardi Khan, Nawab of bengal, for importing education among the poor and uneducated people in Hooghly District. With the monetary help of nawab endowing 2555 bigha land WAKF state under the supervision of Mutawalli maulana Masududdin and Amsaudddin. In 1772 on 26 January a grant of RS 152 / per month was sanctioned by Govt of Bengal Mr Cartier on a pact. This pact was renewed by Government of India Mr Warrren Hesting with addition RS 158/ per month in 1781. In 1837 the Madrasah become preparatory to the hooghly College. In 1839 this madrasah was brought control under mutawalli maulavi Ali Hafiz.

In 1872 this Madrasah was run according to the syllabus of Kolkata Madrasah under the supervision of Professor Blochman. In 1913 this Madrasah become “junior Madrasa ” as per recommendation of J.A Jaylor. In 1964 this Madrasah was upgraded to “Senior Madrasah ” (Alim) under the W.B.B.M.E. At present this Madrasah has been raised to the status of “Fazil Senior Madrasah in 2010. Here the computer, different science, different languages, social science group, Islamic theology and islamic studies are being tought with the help of qualified subject teachers. The role strength, annual results, board results, performance in the fields of games and sports are excellent. The Madrasah building including the hostel building are well built in hygiene environment.

Therefore now a days the students are also developing in society by taking modern education.It is to be noted that Pir Maulana Abubakkar Siddique (R.A) (Dada Hujur, Furfura Sarief) one of greatest sage of his time received his education from this institution. Students from undivided bengal used to come to take their education in this institution.even today students from other states like Assam and Tripura come to read in this prestigious Madrasah of bengal. The library of hostel in our Madrasah are coming down from the beginning of this madrasha.
